My name is Rima. This is my day.

I live in a village in Mali. Here the day starts before the sun and ends around the fire. Nothing spectacular — just life, exactly as it happens.

A lot of people have never seen how millet is pounded, how water is drawn from a well, or how a headscarf is tied in thirty seconds. So I film it. With my phone, and a lot of laughing.
